The USA were into the idea of isolationism which no involvement with the world around them. In 1924 they helped out with the Dawes plan. They were also a part of the Kellogg Brand Pact and were not a part of the League of Nations. The reason behind isolationism was the republicans who ruled till the stock market crash.
